Our Japanese Heritage
Founded in 1876 in Tokyo, Shueisha—now Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP)—began with the successful printing of a Japanese translation of Samuel Smiles' Self-Help, introducing Western-style book production to Japan. This achievement laid the foundation for DNP's growth and innovation.
