Hired full-time as Quality Assurance Analyst in November 2017, Heather Rachocki began her career at DNP in 2016 as a temporary worker in our lab. Her role involves investigating complaints and returns, generating follow-up reports that are sent to customers. She loves being able to help customers solve their printing problems, which are usually simple fixes like adjusting print settings.
Heather also assists our Product Development group with testing and qualification of raw materials, conducting quality print testing when improvements are made or new products are developed. She finds it extremely interesting to learn about new products during the planning stages, including how they are made and the ingredients they contain.
When asked what her favorite thing about DNP is, Heather responded, “The people here are great and very supportive. It is also nice to work close to home.”
One DNP occasion Heather truly enjoyed was the 2018 Employee Appreciation event. She especially liked the Japanese taiko drumming entertainment.
A 2000 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Natural Sciences, Heather was previously employed as a lab analyst at Concurrent Technologies Corporation in Johnstown. She has been married for 16 years to husband, Chris, whom she met at a friend’s house party. Chris is currently employed at US Foods in Greensburg within the Transportation department. She is also extremely proud of her daughter Lindsey who is a 7th grade honor roll student at Derry Area Middle School.
When asked where she would like to go when traveling is safe again, Heather said, “Many places, but especially Disney World.” A huge Disney fan, she even has a headband with Mickey Mouse ears that always accompanies her on trips there.
Heather’s preferred activity is hanging out with family and friends around a fire pit. Favorite foods include tacos, pizza, wings, and Reese’s cups. She enjoys binge watching sci-fi and adventure shows like Game of Thrones, West World, The Walking Dead, and The Mandalorian. She also likes a good comedy and loves the Impractical Jokers reality series. And, let’s not forget how much Heather likes Harry Potter and Star Wars.
